About Marcus P. Miller
“If Music be the Food of Love, Play On…”
– William Shakespeare
Marcus Miller’s One Guitar–One Voice performance is an inspiring collection of acoustic renditions of classic rock and folk music from the 60’s up to the present. A veteran of the San Francisco Bay Area music scene, Marcus has toured with a variety of national acts and performed in front of countless thousands at theaters, fairs, festivals, casinos, special events, and clubs.
Now as a solo performer, Marcus shares his talent through his One Guitar – One Voice performance expressing faith, hope, and love through music. Since 2013, Marcus has performed at numerous house concerts and annual fundraising events benefiting the American Cancer Society, raising funds and awareness in the fight against cancer. You can also catch his One Guitar–One Voice experience within your community at wineries, concert halls, theaters, house concerts, restaurants, and corporate events. See the Schedule page for a list of scheduled venues and dates.
Some of Marcus’ music career experiences led him to San Jose-based radio station KOME as a member of The Blazers, a band created by morning DJs Jeff Blazey and Bob Lilly. The group was formed to play live “on the air” in front of a studio audience, as well as to perform several pieces with appearing guest artists such as Ronnie Montrose, Lou Graham of Foreigner, Pat Simmons of The Doobie Brothers, Joe Walsh, Eddie Money, Peter Frampton, and many, many others. This presented an opportunity for Marcus to tour with Ronnie Montrose in support of his solo albums Speed of Sound and Mutatis Mutandis, and eventually in the reformation of Gamma with front man Davey Pattison. Marcus feels blessed to have toured with such notable groups as Montrose and Gamma, as well as The Robert Berry Band, Hotel California – A Salute to the Eagles (Eagles tribute), Zeppelin LIVE (Led Zeppelin tribute), and Journey Unauthorized (Journey tribute). Marcus has also shared stages with such music icons as The Scorpions, Blue Oyster Cult, and Alice Cooper.
Marcus Miller’s One Guitar–One Voice performance will fill your next event with classic rock that not only brings back memories, but music that overflows the heart and touches the soul.
“Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.”
– Victor Hugo
